RUNES Summer School9-11 July 2007, Department of Computer Science, University College London, United Kingdom.
OverviewThe RUNES Project is organising a Summer School to disseminate the technologies developed in the project to scientists and engineers across Europe. The RUNES Summer School will take place over three consecutive days in July 2007, with the first two comprising technical lectures and related hands-on programming seminars, while the third is self-contained and structured around the RUNES applications and the demonstrator. Our aim is to broaden the students' appreciation for and interest in the field of networked embedded systems, while also extending their technical skills. In bringing students together from different parts of Europe, the RUNES Summer School will also play an important role in strengthening the community in this field. Please find the Summer School's flyer (pdf format) by clicking the image below.
Target audienceThe target audience of the Summer School are advanced undergraduate students, PhD students, postdocs and academic and industrial researchers and engineers. Some experience in software engineering will be required to make the most of the hands-on programming seminars (days 1 and 2). Emergency services personnel or other interested individuals without a strong technical background are welcome to attend day 3 which will be pitched at a more general level and will cover the main RUNES scenario/demonstrator.
